Can I ask for card details when creating an appointment?

Yes! This can be done on new appointments or existing appointments.


Once you have enabled PataPay, you will be able to collect card details for any Marketplace bookings when you enable Collect card to secure bookings. You can also send card capture links when you add an appointment to the Calendar yourself. The appointment won't be confirmed until they have been collected.


To do this:

  1. Click on the Calendar icon on the side menu
  2. Add an appointment or find and click on an existing appointment
  3. On the Payment Option, select the three vertical dots and then click "Update"
  4. Select Collect card details and scroll down to confirm the Client's information or amend as needed:
    1. First name
    2. Last name
    3. Method (email or text)
    4. Mobile phone number / Email Address
  5. Click Send


The Client will then receive a link via text message (SMS) or email, and they can input their preferred payment method. 


You can resend the link by following the first 3 steps above, and then click Resend Link.
