I'm having issues with my Card Reader

Before getting in touch, please check the common scenarios below:


Reader is unable to connect

To check connectivity:

  1. Go to Settings
    1. Swipe right from the left edge of the reader screen to reveal a Settings button
    2. Tap the Settings button
    3. Enter the admin PIN 07139
  2. Select Wi-Fi settings. This displays all available Wi-Fi networks
  3. To see more details about the connection, tap the connected network name


Reader is unable to update

If your reader doesn’t update, it’s possible that it can’t connect. To check its connectivity to Pata Partners:

  1. Go to Settings
    1. Swipe right from the left edge of the reader screen to reveal a Settings button
    2. Tap the Settings button
    3. Enter the admin PIN 07139
  2. Select Diagnostics. This displays a list of troubleshooting tests
  3. Check connectivity and make sure it says “Passed”

Please include the following information 

  • Subject: Pata Card Reader issues
  • First and Last name
  • Business Name
  • Account number/ID
  • Card Reader Serial Number
  • Describe the issue you're having
    • include photos and any error codes where possible
